<div itemprop="description">DELANEY, William Ronald (Bill), It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Bill at Kingston General Hospital on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at age 51. Bill, beloved son of William Francis Delaney and the late Patricia Ann (nee Davies). Beloved husband of Lyndsay and devoted father of Courtney, Hailey, Kenedey and Kyley. Proud and loving father of Chris, Stacey, Ashley and thrilled Grandpa of Devlyn. Dear brother of Shelley and Trish. Bill enjoyed a vast career in law enforcement from his early days with PPCLI to close to two decades of service with a variety of Municipal Police Services. He was most proud of his time on Durham Regional Police's Tactical Team and his accomplishments as a Use of Force and Firearms Instructor. Bill also owned and operated a law enforcement training business and more recently enjoyed a career as a Security Manager. Bill greeted each day with purpose and touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be remembered for his integrity, strength, selflessness and most importantly his love of life and family. A special thanks to Dr. Baetz and Dr. Ludlow and all of the hospital staff at Kingston General Hospital and the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario for their outstanding care and support. Family and friends will be received at MOUNT LAWN RECEPTION CENTRE, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby (North of Hwy 2) 905-443-3376 on Saturday, September 6, 2014 from 7-9 pm and Sunday, September 7, 2014 from 5 until the time of Service in the chapel at 6 pm. Followed by a reception in the Arbor Lounge. Flowers, or donations to Children of Fallen Officers/Soldiers Fund or a charity of choice would be appreciated. <br /></div>
