<div itemprop="description">HOWE Harold 'Howie' (Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 43, retired 37 year GM employee) Peacefully in his sleep after a brief courageous battle with cancer at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Sunday, March 13, 2016 in his 75th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Mary Ellen Bissette of 28 years. Loving father of Tim, Greg (Laurie), Karen (Ron Cronin) and step father of Brad (Angie) and Greg (Amy) Atkinson. He was a proud grandpa and great grandpa of many. Dear brother of Donna and the late Glenn, Cecil and Rynard. Harold will be lovingly remembered by Donna Howe, Melody Laviolette, Bonnie Ogden, his nieces, nephews, family and friends. A special thanks to the staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their wonderful care. Family and friends will be received at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME &amp; CEMETERY, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby (North of Hwy 2) 905-443-3376 on Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 1:30 until the time of the Memorial Service in the chapel at 2:30 pm. Private family interment Mount Lawn Cemetery at a later date. In memory of Harold, in lieu of flowers donations to the Lakeridge Health Oshawa CCU or Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
