<div itemprop="description">Henry, Vera Marie, age 82 of Halifax passed away on June 6, 2015 at the Victoria General Site, QEII Hospital. <br />Born in Orillia, Ontario she was the daughter of the late Doris and Samuel Oliver. Vera enjoyed knitting and playing bridge. She also loved sailing and playing golf. <br />Vera is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Frederick &ldquo;Fred&rdquo;; daughter Cynthia Gale (Leo) Gaessler; son David Henry (Myrle); brother, Robert (Susan) Oliver; 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. <br />She was predeceased by her son Paul W. Henry. <br />Cremation has taken place. According to Vera&rsquo;s wishes, there will be no visitation. Memorial service to be held on Saturday July 18, 2015 at 11 am at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, 21 Garrard Rd, Whitby, Ont, L1N 3K4, (905)443-3376. Interment in Mount Lawn Funeral Home &amp; Cemetery immediately following the memorial service. <br />In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.</div>
