Born March 29, 1949 in Amherst Nova Scotia and died suddenly on March 16, 2016 in Keswick Ontario. He was predeceased by his parents Elmer and Marie (Parsons) Jones of Amherst Nova Scotia, Sandra (Moulton) Jones Oshawa, brother Eric Parsons and sister Joan Parsons. Survived by son Roy Jones (Janice) of Courtice Ontario, daughter Brittney Jones of Thunder Bay Ontario, step daughter Shelly Moulton (Mark) of Oshawa, brother Peter (Pauline) of Halifax Nova Scotia, sisters Mary Parsons of Halifax, Betty (Bob) Hunt of Angus Ontario, Adah (Doug)McLellan of Ajax Ontario and Sandra (Dennis) Dickson of Gilbert Arizona. Roy was a Grandfather to Colleen, Hayley, Quinton, Maranda, Kamron and Kyler and Uncle to several nieces and nephews. Roy was a truck driver and in earlier years enjoyed being around horses. Friends may call at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby on Monday, April 4, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. for a Celebration of Roy's life. He will be missed as he always had a story that would make us laugh. May he rest in peace.
