Patricia Sharon Mowers (Donnelly) passed away the morning of August 10, 2016 in her 70th year, surrounded by the warm embrace of her family, and welcomed by the loving arms of her parents in heaven. Beloved wife of Wayne Mowers for 51 years. Dedicated mother to Donna Robinson and David Mowers, and their respective spouses Gord Robinson and Gayna Stedmond. Cherished grandmother to Amanda and husband Jason Baird, Gary Robinson and wife Cairo, and Lindsey Robinson. Her youngest grandchildren, Nathen and Nicole Mowers, brought her special joy in the last decades of her life, as did her great grandchildren Rylee, Maleah, Aurora, Zara, and Mateo. Patricia was predeceased by her parents Frank and Etta Donnelly, and is survived by her sister Debbie Donnelly. She will be deeply missed by her entire family, including her aunt and uncle Bonnie and Grant Brunne, nephew Randy, niece Karen, and their respective families, as well as members of the Mowers family, and her cherished pets.
Pat enjoyed a long and successful career as an early childhood educator, working as a Program Manager for Resources for Exceptional Children for many years until her retirement. Her passion for kids was mirrored by her love of music, and her fondness for animals. She was an active volunteer, member of the community, and longtime Oshawa resident. She will be missed by those whose lives she touched with her tenacity, charisma, and tender heart. Special thanks to the staff of Lakeridge Health Oshawa's Critical Care Unit, especially Dr. Ahmed and nursing staff. Family and friends will be received at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby (North of Hwy 2) 905-443-3376 on Sunday, August 14, 2016 from 12 Noon until the time of Service in the chapel at 1 pm.
