YOUNG, Debra - nee Damant (27 year employee of the Royal Ontario Museum). Our family sadly said good-bye to our beautiful Debra who passed away peacefully at home from cancer surrounded by family on Wednesday April 2nd, 2014 at the age of 62 years. During her life, Debra filled those around her with her unique zest for life, her genuine sense of humour, her keen intelligence and her compassion for both family and friends. Her bright colours symbolized her enthusiastic spirit and boundless goodwill. Debra is treasured by her husband Peter of 41 years. Dearly cherished by her son Adam. Predeceased by parents Rod and Marg Damant. Deeply loved by her sisters Cindy Chupa (Larry), Joanne Visser (Bernie) and brothers David Hawkins (Beth) and Dan Damant. Debra is fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews as well as her extended family. Thanks to Central East CCAC and the compassionate care of the Red Cross, particularly nurse Melissa. Friends may call at MOUNT LAWN RECEPTION CENTRE 21 Garrard Rd. Whitby (N of Hwy #2) 905 443-3376 for memorial visitation on Sunday April 6th, 2014 from 7 - 9 p.m. Memorial service to be held in our Chapel on Monday April 7th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens.
