BANNON, David Edward
June 12, 1960 - September 6, 2015
With sadness the family announces the passing of David “Dave” Bannon. He will be missed by his wife April. Loving father of Greg (Laura) and Step Father to Amanda (Brian) and Ricky, Brad (Becky). Brother of Judy, Doug and Laurie. Adored grandfather of Wyatt and his newest grandchild to arrive early 2016, Blake, Alyssa, Xavier, Malia and Lacie, Reanna, Riley and Jaxon. Special Uncle to Cody, Karen, Diana, Katelyn, Kelley and Great Uncle to Ruby, Jackson and Jacob. Cherished son of Marilyn and the late Gordon Bannon. He will also be missed by his aunts, uncles, many cousins and friends. David was a retired Millwright after 30 years of dedicated service to General Motors of Canada and a member of CAW. He enjoyed summers in Bobcaygeon, hockey, lacrosse and his beloved Boston Bruins. Everyone who knew Davey benefitted from his generosity, free spirit, sense of humor and endless stories. Loved and never to be forgotten. A private family service will be held at a later date. David will be laid to rest at Mount Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Durham Region. Memories can be shared online at mountlawn.ca.
