Peacefully with his family by his side at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Friday, October 31, 2014 in his 91st year. Albert, beloved husband of Betty of 66 years. Loving father of Coleen (Keith McDonald), Darlene (Glen Lyte) and Sandi (the late Norman Roussy), Proud grandpa of Tyler (Syd), Samantha (TJ), Jennifer, Douglas, Gennifer (Andy) and great grandpa of Xander. Predeceased by his parents Frederick and Cecilia Penn and his siblings Cis, Fred and Katie. Albert will be lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, step grandchildren, family and friends. A special thanks to the staff at Extendicare Oshawa and the Palliative Care Unit for making his last days comfortable and the support given to the family. Family and friends will be received at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby (North of Hwy 2) 905-443-3376 on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 1:30 pm until the time of the Memorial Service in the chapel at 2:30 pm. Interment Mount Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army Oshawa, 570 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, Ontario L1J 6T6 would be appreciated.
